Queen Autographs - genuine Queen signatures versus fakes

Important update! I won't be updating this website anymore. First of all, I'm way too busy with my new job so I have to focus all my attention to my other project, QueenConcerts. Secondly, I'm SICK of various so-called "Queen fans" who were trying to damage my reputation by saying that I mark genuine items as fake and then buy them under a different ebay nickname. Just a pity I don't know names of these "heroes" (who are from Germany, I think) because they would deserve to be kicked in their asses for such disgusting lies. Also there are "fans" who were trying to "test" my knowledge by creating and submitting fakes - THANK YOU for wasting my time. So - now it's up to you. Use this website as a guide and please don't email me anymore. I really need a rest... Welcome to Queen Autographs. My only goal is to help you recognize genuine signed Queen items from fakes. I don't sell autographs (OK, OK, I actually do sell approx. one set of signatures every year), I'm not a dealer, I have no profit from this website (the google ads help to pay for the web hosting). I'm just an angry Queen fan who is disgusted by the amount of fakes that are for sale on various sites, especially on eBay. I want to persuade you to ignore any certificates, I want to show you differences between genuine and fake autographs, I want to get rid of all the dealers of fake signatures!

Please note that while this site focuses on Queen autographs (Freddie, Brian, Roger or John), related signatures will also be shown and discussed here (Queen + Paul Rodgers, The Cross etc.). Also remember that all statements on this site represent purely the personal opinion of the webmaster!

Where can I buy a signed Queen item?

eBay - you must be VERY patient though; 99% of autographs on eBay are fake!
autographs dealers - most of them know nothing about Queen signatures. They will offer you a certificate - that's a worthless piece of paper!
big auction sites (Sotheby's, Christie's) - the most reliable but also most expensive option. I estimate over 90% of their autographs are genuine.
rock memorabilia shops - some are good, some are worse. Even reputable shops can from time to time sell fake autographs (not intentionally though)
Queen fans - only if they obtained the signatures personally. Otherwise you risk buying a fake.

How expensive are Queen autographs?

Anything with Freddie - $300 - $1000, depending on the age and condition
Brian, Roger or John - $20 - $60 each
If you see a cheap set of autographs, they're most likely fake (unless it's a low starting price in an auction, of course). It's almost impossible to find bargains! On the other hand, high price doesn't mean the signatures are genuine! Fakes are often being sold for prices over 1000 GBP.

Who can authenticate a signature?

Nobody! We can give you advices and we're more reliable than all those "experts", "authenticators" or people from the Queen fan clubs. But we are humans and we make mistakes. Don't trust anybody :-) The only 100% genuine autographs are those you got yourself!
